Wonderful Birthday Giveaway

Happy Birthday to me...Happy Birthday to me!

You know that awful moment when you realise you have completely forgotten a birthday? Well, I did that yesterday...to myself! Last week my little blog turned 1 year old and I totally missed it. Bad blogger! I had been waiting for the anniversary for quite some time and planning a giveaway to celebrate and then completely forgot.

Never mind, because I remembered yesterday and here I am today with a lovely giveaway for you all. I know how you love a giveaway.

When I started this little blog a year ago, it was just a silly little venture to keep me writing, crafting and taking photographs. I don't feel like I have changed much in the space of a year but my little blog is still going  strongand I haven't lost interest and that is a big thing for me. It may not be the most interesting of blogs and my followers are few but you are all appreciated very much. I thought that I would just end up  blogging to nobody so the fact that someone somewhere is reading, truly means the world to me.

So without further ado, I have some lovely treats befitting of my lovely followers...

Anyone interested in these little pieces of wonderful?

This really is one of the sweetest little tea cups I have ever seen, the pattern is quite Cath Kidston and just adorable. This little cup and saucer can be yours if you're lucky enough.

This darling little Belle & Boo needle case was given away with an issue of Mollie Makes. I have too many needle cases so I have assembled this cute little case and I am giving it away.

This flower broach was made using the tutorial from my previous post and the keyring is made using Cath Kidston paper.

And lastly a pretty photo frame covered in Cath Kidston patterned tape.

And here they are all together again.

So, if you would like to be a part of my giveaway then the usual rules apply:

Make sure you are following my blog. If you aren't then click the little 'Join this site' button on the left   hand column.

♥  Leave me a comment on this post

For an extra entry share this giveaway on your own blog, twitter or facebook and leave me another comment to tell me you have done so (and include a link if appropriate)

The giveaway will close on May 21st and the winner will be announced shortly after that, so get entering my dears and tell your friends.

All my love,

Lexie

Adorned in flowers: Flower broach tutorial

Hi, hello and good afternoon.

I am feeling much more awake today. I have tidied my garden, pruned my monstrously huge clematis and rose bushes (both of which seem to have grown about 4 feet in all this rain) and done a good deal of relaxing in my pyjamas, as one should on a cold bank holiday weekend.

I have saved some time in between gardening and laying about like a lazy vegetable to post a tutorial that I have been using to make some lovely flower broaches..and trust me, they really are lovely and super easy to make as well! I don't often share tutorials, because I don't often use them but this one is a favourite of mine.

So let's start at the end with the finished product. These are three broaches that I made to sell at my boot sale.

The premise is really simple, you start with 10 identical circles of fabric...a small amount of sewing, a button, a smaller felt circle, a broach pin and a smudge of glue later and you are left with these little treasures.

The tutorial comes courtesy of Little Livingstone who has many other wonderful tutorials to share as well, but this particular one caught my eye while perusing Pinterest one day and it has become a 'go-to' make for birthdays and indeed boot sales!!

To see how they should look and how easy they are, have a little look at the very well written tutorial here and make yourself and your loved ones a broach for every day, every mood and every outfit!

Happy making!

A beginners guide to bootsaleing

Happy Saturday petals and a happy 3 day weekend to you as well.

At this moment in time I am pretty tired. I have seen every minute of every hour since 5am this morning which is not something I can usually say.

Today was boot sale day, which as I mentioned previously, I have been busily preparing for! Before packing up the car last night with all my prettiest props, my second hand tat and my hand made pretties, I was in two minds about whether or not to bother. After a lot of debating, do we, don't we, will we, won't we? I decided to wait and see what the weather was like this morning.

Well at 5am this morning there was not a drop of rain in the sky so off I went with my bestie in tow (who by the way, is an absolute star for helping me).

Now, I had only been to this boot sale once before and in all honesty I had forgotten what it was like. I just remembered that it was hard standing and had lots of antique stalls. Well, this may have been a big error because the sale did not go according to plan, sadly.

We were squeezed into a small area of the grounds due to limited space, and from the very second we started setting up (at 6.30) we were surrounded by forceful dealers, trying to get a look into the car and asking for jewellry and mobile phones. As I spread my polka dot table cloth over my table and told another dealer "no" for the thousandth time I did wonder how they could possibly think I would be selling mobile phones with the sheer amount of polka dots and flowers in the car.

Nevertheless, we got everything set up and it looked really very nice actually. What do you think?

However, it didn't take long to realise that we were a bit out of  place surrounded by jumble and junk thrown over wall paper tables. Boy did I feel like a lemon with all my bunting and tea cups!

Time passed and the real pro boot salers came around first, as the bitter cold began to sink into our bones I struggled to pick up the change between my numb fingers for the few people that were buying my dresses and old clothes. My beautiful trunk, with it's lovely makeover, was full of 50p clothing and was doing a splendid job of attracting lots of people, many of which tried to buy the trunk itself from me (definitely not for sale). But even though I had to fight to stop people from trying to buy my cake stand (it was display only) it soon became apparent that I wasn't going to have a very successful boot sale. By about 8am I was giving up, despite my friend reminding me that most people weren't even out of bed yet.

More time passed and I did manage to sell more bits, not as much of my hand made stuff as I would have liked but a lot of my second hand tat that I didn't want to take back home with me. But....then came the rain! Now we were cold and getting wet! We persevered, and it is good that we did because there were a large amount of panic buys from people desperate to get bargain clothes before we started packing up but depressingly, nobody wanted my vintage china, or my bunting or my broaches or hanging hearts. I was really quite disheartened by this but it was at this point, as I stood clutching two umbrellas over my stock, my whole body trembling from the cold, that I realised my error. I was in a concrete landscape, surrounded by steel buildings and trucks..much more shabby than chic and therefore the wrong environment by a long shot. I dawned on me that this kind of boot sale, quite stark and rough around the edges, was completely the wrong place to be selling this kind of stock. People want bargains at bootsales, not crafty lovely bits, or vintage china trios.

I was hoping to get a visit from a few more china loving, Cath K fans but alas, there were but a few..where were you all huh? I was visited by various lovely ladies, but most were being tugged along by their other halves and despite fawning over my pretty china they were briskly reminded that they had too many teacups/too much bunting etc etc...this made me both disappointed and also a little bit glad that I am single!

In all honesty, it wasn't a complete bust, my clothes made me lots of money and I came home with much less than I left with. And, if I had a pound for every time someone stopped to tell me how pretty my stall was then I would have had a very full money box. I may not have been rich in profit, but I was definitely rich in complements and that was just lovely. Hearing people from all walks of life tell me that my trunk looked lovely, that I had made it over superbly and that I had "the prettiest stall in the whole boot sale" was just wonderful because I had put a lot of thought into the whole thing even if it was a bit wasted in the end, so next time I am going to look for a more appropriate setting and put my stall dressing skills to good use again.

After packing everything away we went for a quick stroll around the damp remains of the sale and I managed to bag myself a bargainous tea set at just £3, from the most wonderful antique seller, he was a real sweetheart and he admitted that he has a problem pricing things properly (his wife gets very angry at him). I told him I thought his pricing skills were excellent!!. He definitely made my day.

The set also consists of 4 other cups and saucers.

So that's my boot sale tale. Definitely not a guide to be followed! Although, I don't have too many regrets about it.

Austen approves of the latest tea set addition.

In other news, me and my camera are getting on very well. Our rendezvous has been fleeting so far but I am already in love with it...most ardently! Ours will be a deep and lasting love, I just know it! And it definitely won't tell me I can't have more china! Win!

Enough about me, how are you?

Lots of love,

Tea set of the week...and bunting!

Well my unexpected weekend at home has been rather productive. Yesterday I posted about my triumphant completion of operation vintage trunk makeover. I also mentioned that I planned to make lots of loveliness in preparation for my stall at my local boot sale in a few weeks. And that, my dears, is what I am here to share with you today..well that and a rather beautiful tea set...I know how much you love them!

First things first, this tea set was part of a job lot of odd china that I found on Ebay for an incredible price. My plan is to sell it all on. Sadly, when I received the package full of china wonderfulness...the cup was missing its saucer and plate. A week or so later and the nice Ebayer seller had sent me the missing pieces and the matching sugar bowl as a gesture. Needless to say I won't be selling this set! It's far too lovely and definitely deserving of the 'Tea set of the week' accolade. Do you like it..?

And so, on to my lovely Sunday creations..

I made mini bunting, not so mini bunting and I made over an old cd storage box to sell on. It really was the most hideously garish polka dot design and I was planning to sell it anyway. I just thought it needed beautifying a little first. I painted it in a pale blue colour and covered the top with some sample rose print wallpaper that I got free from an online wallpaper website. (try it if you want to stock up on beautiful papers). The box isn't finished, I need to glue down the edges of the paper once the paint is completely dry.

As for the not so mini bunting, it was my first attempt at making traditional bunting and it was much easier than I thought.

I am a little bit in love with the colour and fabric combination and I am loathed to part with it..but I will..and I'll just have to make some for myself won't I.

I hope you have all had a nice weekend..don't they go quickly!

Lots of love,

Lexie

Spring-a-ding-ding

Reader, I survived the week...the one I was dreading. It was a test of endurance but I survived it somehow. I fear this week is going to be another test but lets hope it's a little kinder to me and won't get me down quite so much.

I've been feeling a tickle of spring in the air and doesn't it feel great? A hint of a spring breeze, the peek of a new spring bud. Very exciting. I've spent my lovely long weekend in preparation for Springs arrival and as always my camera wasn't far. It is good to share in blog land, after all.

I painted and decorated some plastic eggs with pale blue paint and
patterned tape (remember how I told you how wonderful this stuff
is)

Now I have a lovely spring table in my living room.

I also made myself a little herb garden, I'm doing more and more cooking from scratch and I decided that fresh herbs were a necessity, plus it gave me an excuse to plant things, which I love doing and I'm far too impatient to wait for all the Spring/Summer plants to come out! I have already had compliments on my selection of herbs and the way they look all planted together in my wooden crate so call me pleased!

Herb garden complete with labels.

Now, choosing herbs is a tricky business you know, my final selection mixes colour with aroma and practicality..there's no point planting anything that you won't be using now is there but no point planting something that isn't pleasing to the eye..or nose.  I chose Oregano, Purple sage, lemon thyme, Foxley thyme and Grapefruit mint. The lemon thyme and grapefruit mint both smell delightful and the purple sage and foxley thyme are both lovely to look at.

Oregano, Purple Sage, Grapefruit mint.

Foxley thyme and Lemon thyme.

I am very much looking forward to trying the herbs out and I will report back with some wonderful recipe ideas for you all to enjoy.

I also had the pleasure this weekend, of spending an evening at Alexandra Palace with the amazing Florence & the Machine. I have loved Florence and her band since her very first single so it was a really very special evening for me. You know when you just adore a song so much that hearing it live and loud is truly wonderful? Well that's how it was for me, except I love most of the songs so that's a whole lot of wonderful for one evening!  If you're a fan and you ever get the chance to see her live then you simply must go!

Lots of love to you all,

Lexie

All about tape..

And there goes another Sunday..but my what a beautiful sunny Sunday it has been. How was yours? I spent some time tidying my garden today and now everything looks a bit spring like..a little less soggy and brown from months of winter so now there is much to look forward to..

My weekend in general has been rather lovely, what with all the sunshine, a fabulous time spent at the theatre yesterday and some time spent meeting Zach Braff himself (though not one on one I should say)..quite a big deal for me considering he has been one of my actor crushes for about 12 years...but enough about that.

Anyway, readers, I have a new obsession! Have you discovered the wonder that is patterned masking tape?? Yes? No? Some of you crafters may know the brand 'Washi Tape', I have never used it myself but the idea is much the same.  Think masking tape, think pretty patterns..think possibilities.

I picked up some Cath K patterned masking tape some time ago, it was on sale and it looked cute so I grabbed it...months later and I am sitting painting some mini wooden storage crates for my shop and I'm thinking 'this needs something extra'..and then it came to me! I stuck the masking tape to the wood and oh my, the result was lovely.

What you are left with is what looks like a really fine paint job but it is, in fact, tape. I was so excited by the result that I invested in a variation of tapes and have since found a plethora of items to decorate in time.

My tape collection, growing slowly.

Sadly, it seems that Cath K no longer has the tapes on sale but I was lucky to pick up a second pack from ebay. 'My fabric house' also have a lovely stock of fabric tapes which are very similar to the masking tape and full of just as much potential.

I have been busy decorating everything in site with my tapes, including photo frames and more mini crates. But one of the most exciting realisations has been that the tapes make the most wonderful decoration for shelf edges as modelled beautifully by my craft room cabinet..

The tape turns transparent once stuck down so it looks like
intricate paint work.

A really simple yet beautiful effect that gives that added detail to your furniture, accessories and trinkets...of course this tape can also be used for gift wrapping, card making and scrap booking if you see fit..but I think some of the possibilities are far more exciting than that! For my next trick, I will be decorating plastic Easter eggs with floral tapes! It doesn't get any more spring like than that.

So there you are, new obsession shared!

I will be back soon to tell you all about a favourite shop of mine that I revisited yesterday..you'll love it!

With love,

Lexie

Valentines or something...

I hear its valentines day today, being perpetually single I have very little time for it, I am of the belief that everyday is a day to show your love for your partner..or at least I like to think that's what I would do if I wasn't too busy enjoying my single life.

This year I decided to show my love for my beautiful wonderful friendlies and I made them all a little something with a valentines theme, simply because I really love making things for my most favourite people!

I call these 'love on a stick'...because that's essentially what they are. I chose two different fabrics and cut hearts using a cookie cutter, sewed the little hearts together and filled with wadding. I used BBQ skewers for the sticks and pierced them through the fabric before adding skinny ribbon bows...polka dotty of course.

I completed the look with beautiful labels from Lovemae, cut with pinking sheers and stuck either side of the skewers. These labels are actually for tea bag favours but I think they work just as well as gift tags!

These lovely hearts were inspired by Cherry Menlove who made some of her own that far surpass mine in both beauty and skill! Although, I am very happy with how these turned out and I really enjoyed working on them.

Well now, I am going to retire, I am unfortunately very deathly ill (again). Quite why I need to have two colds in two months is beyond me. I have had my fair share, it's someone else's turn now!

With love,

Lexie

Treasures for friends

It's Friday!! Oh how I love Fridays!

I have just heard from my dear friend Louise who received a parcel today that I sent earlier in the week. Inside the carefully wrapped surprise package of mystery were two homemade gifts that she had no idea I had been busy making:

This cushion and heart set was the first major project on my new little sewing machine. The fabric was specially chosen for Louise..I knew she would love it. The pattern is so intricate and feminine,  if Fabric could be made for a single person this fabric would have been made for her! And it was a real pleasure to work with, with lots to look at as I put both pieces together. I was so utterly proud of this make and I was so unbelievably excited for her to open it and see it and find a special place for it and I am pleased to say that she loved them..and especially the fabric!

Honestly, isn't it just the most satisfying thing to make something for someone that is just perfect for them and to know that they love it? There is nothing quite like it.

It'll soon be time for another project, oh the possibilities!! What do you have planned this weekend? I plan to nap and perhaps spend some time trawling my local charity shops...the stuff of luxury!!

Have a good weekend,

Lexie

My printable gift to you

Hello all,

Christmas is but a blissfully short seven days away. Unfortunately I have been horrifically ill since last we spoke and I am very slowly getting better...hopefully in time for Christmas!

I stumbled across some rather adorable printable gift tags for those of you who love everything cute and vintage and have yet to wrap your gifts..infact, they are so lovely that I re tagged some of my presents.

So here they are..

You can download them here for yourself and bring some extra festive loveliness to your no doubt sublimely wrapped gifts. I printed mine on some peach coloured card and they look wonderful!

On another note, I am amused and surprised by the amount of Christmas blog posts I have read titled "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"...Is this a blog rule that I was not aware of?

Have a lovely Sunday,

Love,

Lexie (Cough, cough, sneeze, sniff)

Tis the season part 4: Wrapping to impress

Well hello, how are you all doing on this blustery Tuesday?

The time has finally come for me to share with you my Christmas wrapping inspiration.

Now, let me tell you I have very limited skill when it comes to wrapping gifts, in fact I have always rather disliked it. I love the result but hate having to do it. This year I was looking forward to it though. I was desperate for a rustic, simple theme with lovely Christmas ribbons as an accent.

And so, inspired by these lovely images that encapsulated everything I was looking for:

                                        Source
Source

I loaded myself up with reels of red gingham ribbon, a roll of standard brown paper from a post office, some brown paper lunch bags from ebay (Thank God for Ebay) and some brown card gift tags as well as some free printable tags I had printed earlier in the year.

The effect is rustic simplicity with a splash of festive colour and I am really pleased with how my gifts have turned out.

These paper lunch bags are so easy to make and perfect for smaller gifts.
Pair with some pretty ribbon and a tag to create the look. I love it!

I'm completely sold on gingham ribbon. It's lovely!

And there you have it. For someone who normally hates wrapping I have found a new appreciation for the art and I really think brown paper is the way forward. Understated and easily customisable, it's cheap to buy and you get yards of the stuff on one roll! Although I did wrap all my nieces and nephew's gifts in some beautiful bird print paper that I picked up in January for 75% off!

So if you're a lover of all things rustic chic and you have yet to wrap all your festive treats then why not try brown paper and let me know how you get on.

I'll be posting my penultimate installment of the 'Tis the season' series later today. Stay on the edges of your seat won't you?

Happy wrapping,

Lexie

Christmas craft

Hello, another Sunday has come around and I thought I would try and squeeze in a little blog post. I hope you are all enjoying the build up to Christmas and you're all keeping yourself busy with wrapping paper, ribbon and baked goods! I have been waiting so patiently to post the next two parts of my Christmas craft series and I will be doing so on Tuesday now that everything is wrapped and I have put the finishing touches to my decor. But until then I have some little pieces of wonderful to share with you all..

We took a little trip down the road to see what local craft talent awaited us at the Christmas craft fair at Osterley park. Unfortunately it was much smaller than I expected but fear not, I came away with some little treasures including some little felt owls for my tree and some beautiful Christmas note cards. Oh but that's not all...there was one stall there that I could have explored all day, it was utterly enchanting and definitely fit for my blog pages...have a little look for yourself won't you..?

There were ditsy prints galore on top of a polka dotted back ground- my absolute dream stall! Pearlescent hues, vintage florals, heart shaped loveliness and girly gifts for all ages. Teddies, bows, wall hangings, hearts, cushions, homewares and trinkets, all beautifully hand made. Christmas baubles, homemade notebooks, garlands...you name it! I have never seen anything else quite like these...and I've seen a lot of handmade beauties to compare!

Beautiful angels on fabric hearts!

Just some of the cushions on offer.

These wonders are a collaborative effort between Aubrey Garner and a very talented parent. Although they are new to the craft scene they certainly deserve to be noticed. Unfortunately, they don't have a website or blog to their name which is such a shame because these treasures need to be seen, trust me on that!

I fell in love with the stall so much that I am now the proud owner of three of the most beautiful wicker decorations that I shall use this and every Christmas, they are truly lovely...but you'll see more of them on Tuesday.

If you can get down to the Osterley christmas craft fair at Osterley Park in West London next weekend then stop by and see Aubrey and her adorable gifts, I can't express how lovely this stall was! Entry to the craft fair is free but for a small price you can spend some time taking a look at the house all dressed up in its Christmas best.

It was certainly very atmospheric:

If you can't get to the fair and you're interested in these beautiful crafts then let me know and I'll pass on Aubrey's contact details, she was kind enough to hand them over to me after I had got in everyone's way by taking too many blurry photos....I couldn't help myself.

See you on Tuesday for the next two installments of my 'Tis the season' Christmas craft series.

Tis the season: Part 3 - Homemade Christmas cards

Here we are again folks, another Sunday and another Christmas craft. I have been really enjoying my various crafts and this one in particular- I have been so excited to share them with you!!

So today I am sharing with you my home made Christmas cards- made with a hint of inspiration from Pinterest and a lot of my own imagination!

It all started when I saw these beautiful cards on Pinterest:

Card one Source, Card two source, Card three source

Of course, mine did not turn out looking as exquisitely professional as these but I had fun making them and that was the whole point!

To make my cards I purchased a whole lot of card in various colours and some Christmas stamps and coloured ink in black, gold and silver. I raided my own ribbon, button and fabric scrap collection and got to work and here is what I came up with:

I used a mixture of card, fabric and buttons to make a selection of individual cards, no one card is the same and that makes them more special! My Pinterest inspired cards turned out well, quirky in their own way..

Four little stockings hanging in a row made using a selection of fabric, including some Cath K designs.
Inspired by the card I found on Pinterest.

Some cute button baubles hanging from some East of India
ribbon. I love the effect of this one and it was so very easy to make.

After failing miserably at the beaded bauble card I made a fabric bauble card instead, complete with bow and ribbon which looks lovely. Be warned that if you try the beaded bauble card make sure you have patience and good glue!

After being inspired by the cards on Pinterest I decided to try some of my own designs and I am glad that i did:

I cut up an old book to make a tree and star design and used my Christmas stamp
to create the gift tag design. The window design was more experimental and I love the way
it turned out.

And my three favourite cards came from a sudden burst of inspiration and some help from printable templates:

Look at them standing there! I love these designs so much that I am going to make more of them.
I found templates online very easily by searching on google and used them to cut out the fabric,
this idea is perfect for using up fabric scraps and
they look truly handmade and lovely. You could use any template you want as well!

I also made a fabric snowman, using three circles in different fabrics and a ribbon star made by overlapping six ribbons into a star shape and placing a button in the middle.

As you can see, my loved ones will be getting some unique cards this year and each of them made with love! So, if you hadn't considered the fun of card making before then give it a go before you run out of time. The best part of making cards, for me, was the fact that you can come up with whatever idea you like and have some real fun putting the idea onto paper! It really is a treat! Let me know how you get on won't you?

Coming up next in my Christmas craft series I will be sharing my Christmas decor inspiration, Christmas wrapping ideas and some mince meat treats!

With love,

Lexie!

Lexie really loves..

Well hello! I hope you have had a wonderful week.

I simply had to stop by to take a break from my Christmas craft series and share some loveliness with you all.

Cast your minds back to the warmer days of October- you may remember I posted about a delightful little shop called 'Lexi Loves'. Well, a few short weeks ago while browsing the Lexi Loves facebook page I stumbled upon an image of Lexi's most wonderful handmade Christmas baubles..let me tell you, I was sold then and there..completely lovestruck. So I contacted the very lovely Lexi via her twitter and managed to snag myself a pair of these beautiful baubles at a real bargainous price. After waiting two whole weeks to be able to get to the royal mail depot (What a pain it is when you work full time and the depot only opens between 8 and 12 everyday) ..today was the long awaited day and my, how lovely the baubles truly are! Just take a look at what was waiting for me inside the little box wrapped in pink..

Aren't they pretty? I love them, I really do! They are so well made and they are quirky and whimsical and they go perfectly with my other decorations! They look perfect on my tree (Yes..as of today my tree is up and standing proudly in my living room..don't judge me though, I'm simply too busy to put them up next weekend and I must have them up for the entire of December because I love Christmas so much!) and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you Lexi Loves for my baubles and my beautiful postcards. I am a fan for life!

So, if you are admiring these beauties with lust in your hearts then you must make some time to visit Lexi's shop..you won't regret it!

You can follow Lexi Loves on Twitter, Facebook or Via her blog...make sure you do!

I have also been busy making my handmade Christmas cards and I will be sharing them with you tomorrow in part 3 of my 'Tis the season' Christmas craft series..

Tis the season part 2: Cookie cutter ornaments

Hello and a happy sunny Sunday to you all,

It's time for part two my Christmas inspiration series and today I bring you another special idea for a unique home made tree ornament. Now, I don't know how you feel about Christmas ornaments but over the years I have really begun to appreciate the ornaments that have a story behind them, not the ones that come in sets of 30 from Homebase but the odd baubles and trinkets, the ones that were handed down to you or that you spotted on a market stall one Christmas. Last year I painted my own ceramic bauble and I was so happy with it and the story that I have about it and this year I want to add some more unique ornaments made by my own hand. To that end, today's craft idea is..

Cookie Cutter Ornaments

I believe these little trinkets are the brainchild of one Martha Stewart and when done properly they look a little something like this..

Source

Aren't they precious?? Now, those of you who have been keeping tabs on me for some time may remember that I posted about buying some cookie cutter shapes that were too small, minuscule in fact, and fit for nothing...until now. If you don't have old cookie cutters lying around you could invest in some Christmas themed ones, no big expense required.

Get hunting for some of your favorite patterns and print them onto card or paper. All you Cath K lovers could use some of the digital wallpapers that are available on her website or keep your eye out for any free printable  wrapping papers in your favorite prints.

Next, simply draw around the outer edge of the cookie cutter and cut out your paper shape, attach with glue and there you have it, an easy, country chic ornament made by you to be handed down for years to come.

For my little stars, I used some left over pink polka dot card that I had from a different project and I love the effect. I didn't need big ones because my tree will be fit to burst this year even if it is a foot and half taller than my old tree..

And there they are, all spotty and chic!

Join me again for part 3 where I will be sharing my home made card designs.
