The Illustrated House

If you don't know anything about Jeff Josephine designs then you really should.  Sophie Elm is the single most talented illustrator I have ever come across with such a fresh and individual style. There is an undeniably quirky, whimsical charm in all her delightful work and her latest exhibition 'The Illustrated House' displays it perfectly. 'The Illustrated house' is open for all at the Brewery arts centre in Cirencester and it really is a treat for the eyes. Yesterday I was lucky enough to see it for myself and I simply had to share some photographs with you all.

Sophie is one of those adorable people that always has a smile for you and that sunny disposition shows through in even the smallest of her designs. Whether it be her ceramic work, art prints or even her animal friendly taxidermy you can't help but smile as you study the intricacies of her illustrations, the delicacy of the patterns and colours as they summon images of seaside towns and days gone by- there is nothing quite like it.

Sophie has already illustrated two children's books and takes numerous commissions while selling some of her fine work on her Etsy shop. And with more exhibitions on the horizon the future is a bright for Jeff Josephine designs.I implore you, craft lovers, if you haven't sampled the wonders of Sophie's work then jump on board and familiarise yourself with this fine British talent now and be someone who can say they loved Jeff Josephine from the start.
