Sunday/Snowday

Source

There is something magical about a dusting of snow isn't there? Although, I have to say that the magic is slightly lost on me at the moment.

What started out yesterday as being a day trip to my dad's for pub lunching and the collection of my new (my dad's old) HDTV (Hello technology)! Actually ended up being a trek home through snow and tail backs on the M25. What should have been a 1 and a half hour journey at most became a five hour journey of absolute terror! Ladies and gentlemen, do.not.drive.in.the.snow unless you really really have to. We were sat still on the M25 for 3 hours and then the rest of the journey was a slow slog with a whole lot of hoping and begging to get off the road in one piece! Thankfully we rolled up on our road at 2am and had a night in our own beds! Oh the bliss of sweet relief!

Anyway, snow is still rather lovely and I hope you are having some snow fun where you are. I didn't stop by today to moan at you though, I actually came by with some news..albeit not very exciting news..

Pieces of wonderful now has a rather special contact form of its very own so do please feel free to contact me with all your comments, suggestions or letters of adoration (I am joking). You will find the 'contact me' form underneath my banner, just click on 'Contact Lexie', enter your details and send it on its merry way, I look forward to hearing from you!

In other news, I am very excited about my first official craft swap..unofficially titled 'Lexie's most wonderful craft exchange'...or something. My partner will be the ever so delightful Julie of Julie Rose Sews and I couldn't be happier! I have already been planning what I could possibly make for such a talented individual. Julie, please do use my new 'contact me' page if you have any questions!

So, that's all from me today. I shall love you and leave you to your sleepy snowy Sunday and bid you a wonderful week!

With love,

Lexie

  1. Oh my gosh, five hours of driving in snow! That must have been so, so nerve-wracking. I'm glad you made it home safely!

And YAAAAAAY for the craft exchange!!! I'm so thrilled to get to make some lovely things for you, I hope they bring you even a little of the happiness that your blog brings me.

    xo Julie
