In the woods today

I threw a picnic this fine bank holiday weekend, in honour of my best friends 25th birthday! It was a truly gorgeous, girly affair!

I gathered together every single polka dotted item in my possession, all my mismatched china, found cupcakes, pink lemonade and a whole lot of scrumptious food and loaded it all into a basket (and about 3 other bags) and we headed to the bluebell woods.

To make it truly special I spent a long time looking for printable freebies on the internet and I found some real treasures.

I customised some wonderful paper cups, pink straws and cocktail sticks with printed hearts from one of the best blogs in the whole world EatDrinkChic  The cocktail sticks made beautiful flags for the cupcakes, sandwiches and scones! I also decorated the lemonade bottles with these lovely 'Love & Sunshine' labels, they are truly beautiful..you can get them Here

All in all it was a huge success...the handmade touches made it extra special for my friend and she especially loved the handmade goody bag that I made using other treasures that I found and printed from the internet, but more on them another time.

Picnics are so much fun!!
